Now for the Throwout bearing:
The OS Giken clutches require you to use a different size throwout bearing and sleeve for many different cars.
This particular application requires a narrower bearing and a shorter sleeve.
These part numbers are all Nissan OEM parts that are listed in the OS Giken catalog.

Here is a comparison shot to show you the difference in length between stock and the new setup.
Notice the sleeve is much shorter.

This pic shows you how drastically different the diameter of the contact area on the bearing is.
If you use a stock throwout bearing with this clutch, it is much harder to press the pedal
because the lever point of the bearing against the clutch cover is wrong.

We used a nice hydraulic press with various adaptors to put this together.

Ready to go in...

This picture shows the prep for the throwout bearing installation.
The ball pin was replaced with an aftermarket piece from "Essential".
The stock ball pin is weak, and its chances of breaking increase when you put in a stronger clutch.

Here's the tranny with the new throwout bearing setup, the new ballpin, and the clutch release arm installed.
Be sure to use plenty of grease, but not so much it gets all over the clutch or something.
If you put it in dry, your clutch will squeak everytime you push the pedal. (and it will wear the shaft and sleeve out faster)
