The Sleepy Eye Headlights found on many 180sx's in Japan, and some 240sx's in America can be done in a few different ways. The picture above shows the way my car used to look with the Do-Luck (Aero Wivern) bumper, Toucan headlights, and the Pivot RHU.
I will go into the Pivot unit, and then also the free mod to do this as well.
-The Pivot RHU is a nifty little electronic controller which can be had for about $100 or less. It has one knob on it, and it is the "proper" way to do this to your headlights. If you get on google and do a search for "Pivot RHU-M" that will show you the latest version of the controller. You can click the photo or you can go to Pivot's website here: http://www.the-pivot.co.jp/new-pages/PRODUCTS/ELECTRIC_CONTROLLER_E.html
Some American Importers are selling these for about the same price they list in Japan.
-Here's a link to some instructions with translations to help out the 180sx/240sx owners while installing. The most important thing to remember is that Nissan is backwards from other makers, and the RHU power and ground wires are backwards. (ie:red is ground) PIVOT INSTRUCTIONS
Operating the controller is simple. There are, however, some misconceptions about how it works. The controller only works when the lights are on their way down. It interrupts the signal between the headlight timer and the motors, basically telling them to stop before the close all the way. If you turn on your headlights, they will continue their full course of action until they go all the way down, then all the way up. Next time you turn them off, they stop at the point preset by the controller. Turning the knob simply allows them to stop at a higher or lower point.
*When your headlights are turned on, they will sit in the full upright position.*
The Free Mod, or what I call the "Ghetto Sleepy Eye Mod" is not so complicated, either. The problem is that you are taking over as the timer. The RHU will not be there to tell the lights to stop moving.... It's up to you to flip the switch at the appropriate time. This mod is done by many Silvia owners that put 180sx fronts on their cars. (Onevia) The car doesn't come with the headlight controller built in... and this is the easiest alternative.

Just a tip - If you have some aftermarket headlights that have parking light bulbs (or "City Lights") in them, such as the Raybrig, Toucan, or Matrix lights - then put some nice ultra white bulbs in them and wire them to your parking lights. When your headlights are peaked open slightly and you turn on the parking lights, it will look like this:
